1 cup of warm water
1/2 tsp brown sugar
2 tsp pizza yeast (30 min rise)
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
(optional to use '00' Semolina flour)
1 tsp olive oil
Place water in bowl, add sugar & stir. Sprinkle water with yeast. Allow yeast to activate for 2 minutes. Add dry ingredients into bowl. Using one hand stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Until a ball forms & all dry ingredients have been absorbed.
Lightly flour your counter surface. Place dough on top and kneed the dough for 5 min. Place olive oil into a clean bowl, place dough ball into oiled bowl & roll around to coat oil over entire surface.
Place a towel into hot water, squeeze out excess water. Place towel over bowl & set aside for 30min or until double in size.
Preheat oven to 425. Oil pizza stone or cookie sheet, optional to cook on parchment paper. Using your hands, stretch out dough until desired thickness & size. Add sauce & desired toppings.
Cook for 15-20min, depending on oven & desired crispness.
